Kylie Verzosa is not tolerating men who publicly air their inappropriate thoughts about women, especially public leaders.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the Miss International 2016 shared her two cents on men who are careless with their remarks.
“I’m not going to tell women to cover up or dress up,” she said.
“I think it should be the men around us who should be aware of their behavior and know that what they're doing is not okay,” she added.
According to Kylie, while some men may argue that having inappropriate thoughts about women is “human nature,” it is not a valid excuse.
“You don’t have to say them [inappropriate thoughts] out loud,” she said. “Keep it to yourself.”
“The behavior we’ve been seeing online by some leaders — I hope we don’t accept that,” she added. “I hope we never shut up and stay mad.”
Earlier in March, Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay went viral after he verbalized his apparent desire for Anne Curtis. Suntay later issued an apology but stood by his analogy.
In Anne's statement, she told Suntay, “I do not accept your non-apology.”
Meanwhile, Kylie recently launched a new essential wear line under her clothing label, SOLA, featuring a basic fitted short-sleeved top, a basic tube top, a basic asymmetric long-sleeved top, and a basic mini skirt. — LA, GMA Integrated News
