IT’S time to hear “I love you 3000” once again as Marvel Studios has released the trailer for “Avengers: Endgame Encore,” along with its official re-release date.
Marvel fans will have another chance to relive some of the most iconic moments from the 2019 blockbuster — from the Avengers’ quantum realm time travel to Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) heroic sacrifice to save the universe.
“Avengers: Endgame Encore” will return to theaters on September 25, with screenings in IMAX and INFINITY VISION.
Encore leads to 'Doomsday'
The extended version will feature four minutes of additional footage, bringing the film’s runtime to 185 minutes, or 3 hours and 5 minutes.
Marvel Studios has described the new material as a “critical companion story” leading into “Avengers: Doomsday.”
The upcoming film is expected to bring the Avengers together with the Fantastic Four and eventually the X-Men as they face the existential threat posed by Doctor Doom.
“Avengers: Endgame Encore” could offer Marvel fans a taste of what’s to come when “Avengers: Doomsday” hits theaters on December 18.
