There’s no question that Lamar Jackson is a talented quarterback.
You don’t win MVP for nothing. But, Jackson hasn’t even appeared in a Super Bowl yet. That’s wild, considering he’s one of the strongest and most reliable quarterbacks of his generation.
So, things need to be different this season with the Baltimore Ravens. They got rid of head coach John Harbaugh in a shocking offseason move. Whether or not that was the right decision remains to be seen.
But, now, all the Ravens can do is focus on the future, and that means they need to get Jackson more wide receiver help. Even the best quarterbacks need a good cast of characters around them.
Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report believes the Ravens should beef up their wide receiver room. He simply says the team needs to address this wideout issue before it’s too late.
“Plenty of work must be done on the offensive side of the ball for the Baltimore Ravens,” he says, adding that “Baltimore also wanted to get bigger and more physical at wide receiver. The organization has never had a problem bringing in aging veterans who can still play. For example, Keenan Allen could round out the team’s pass-catchers quite nicely.”
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Needs More Support in 2026
So, Sobleski’s main advice is to sign a veteran wide receiver. It’s true that having another experienced wideout on the Ravens’ roster could go a long way.
At this point, Jackson is a veteran. He needs someone with that equal level of experience on the field with him. You know where experience matters most? The playoffs. That’s where the players who have been through it before and know how to handle the pressure flourish. Getting an experienced wideout should be a top priority for this team.
