Animal lovers have fallen in love as a woman showed the difference between her puppy on the day she got her and now—and how things still haven’t really changed.

Miya, who posts to TikTok under the username @shakquora, is the proud owner of American bully dog Nyla Bean, who she got as a puppy in September 2025.

Since then, Nyla has become a fully fledged part of the family, with Miya regularly sharing clips of her taking Nyla on walks, playing, and getting plenty of cuddles.

But one video, posted on March 6, has catapulted the playful pup into online fame, as Miya shared the difference in her pet from the day she brought her home to now.

The video starts with Nyla on September 26, 2025, exploring her new surroundings and instantly finding a floor-length mirror, where she pounces, paws it and plays around it, watching her own reflection.

Miya then spliced in a second clip, taken almost six months later—and while Nyla has seemingly tripled in size and grown into the muscles associated with pit-bull breeds, she’s still as playful as ever.

As Miya records, Nyla jumps up and down in front of the mirror, her paws outstretched, standing on her hind legs with a big doggy smile on her face, still watching her reflection all these months later.

Millions of people flocked to the clip, and it’s raked in more than 3 million views and more than 1 million likes, as one commenter laughed: “Love to see that the mirror survived.”

“That’s no dog. He’s clearly a silly goose,” another joked, while one wrote: “She be in that mirror saying to herself ‘girl you are hilariousssss.'”

“The smile says it all,” one said, as another summed it up: “We love a whimsical beauty.”

Nyla is part of the bully breeds, which encompasses the American Staffordshire terrier, bulldog, bullmastiff, bull terrier and more.

They are noted for having solidly built, wide bodies and short coats, having been bred for strength with large heads and powerful jaws, according to the American Kennel Club.
