The Baltimore Ravens‘ trade acquisition of veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals was made official on Friday.

Baltimore announced the acquisition with a public statement on social media, but kept the details of the trade undisclosed.

“We have acquired QB Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals in a trade that includes undisclosed draft compensation. Welcome to Baltimore, Jacoby,” the team wrote.

However, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the details of the transaction. The Ravens received Brissett and a 2027 fifth-round pick, giving up a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick.

Many fans criticized the Ravens for giving up a fourth-round pick for Brissett, who was just benched by the Cardinals this past weekend.

“I must be tripping cause I thought that said 2027 4th,” one fan wrote.

“Seeing that 4th go doesn’t feel good during a season already on the brink of collapse,” another said.

“Moved out of the 4th round just to ruin our draft position with pointless wins,” another added.

The Ravens are 4-5 to begin the 2026 season following Thursday night’s blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Brissett will no doubt get an immediate start against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10 following the lackluster performance from undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano.

The Ravens will face off against the Chargers in a primetime “Monday Night Football” clash, giving Brissett an extra day to learn the playbook.
