In a viral Instagram video, a cat owner revealed how she knows her Siberian kitty loves her, melting hearts among internet users.
The heartwarming video shared on Wednesday by @frenchy_siberian, shows the fluffy tabby kitty snuggling up to her owner, staying as close to her face as physically possible, and slow-blinking while her owner covers her in kisses.
“She can’t talk. But she always shows up at the right moment,” the caption says. “Every time I feel low, tired, or just off, she finds me. She settles next to me like it’s obvious. Like that’s where she’s supposed to be.
“There’s something powerful about a love that doesn’t need words. No reassurance. No overthinking. Just a quiet presence that says: you’re not alone. I genuinely believe that this is her way of loving me. People say cats are independent. True. Which is exactly why moments like this mean everything. Cat people will understand.”
Cat owners love their furbabies more than anything else, but is this feeling mutual? Pet MD explains that cats can love their humans, but they show affection more subtly than dogs do.
Cats build strong social bonds with their people, and learning to read their body language is key to understanding their feelings.
There are 12 common signs that a cat loves you: slow blinking, head-butting or cheek rubbing, grooming you, kneading with their paws, exposing their belly, meowing softly, purring, greeting you at the door, following you around, using their tail in friendly ways, bringing you presents like toys or prey, and choosing to sleep near you.
Each of these behaviors reflects trust, comfort, and attachment. If you want to strengthen your bond with your kitty, spend more quality time with them, teach them tricks for mental enrichment, and let the cat decide how much affection they want.
Playing with them is also a great way to win their hearts. Some toys are especially effective at promoting healthy play.
For example, fishing rod toys allow cats to chase and pounce in a controlled way, helping to reinforce appropriate interaction. Treat balls encourage problem-solving by rewarding effort with food.
Catnip mice can boost mood and support independent play, while Kickeroo-style toys cater to wrestling and kicking instincts. Larger activity centers provide opportunities for climbing, scratching, and interactive exploration, supporting both physical and mental enrichment.
