The Milwaukee Bucks made a shocking roster move ahead of their Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Just hours before tipping off against the Western Conference playoff-hopefuls, the Bucks officially announced that they were parting ways with the veteran guard, Cam Thomas.

Shortly after revealing that they cut ties with Thomas, the Bucks announced that they have signed the veteran Peter Nance to a multi-year standard contract. The terms of Nance’s new deal with the Bucks have not been revealed.
Thomas, a 24-year-old guard out of LSU, has been in the NBA since 2021. He was selected by the Brooklyn Nets as the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Throughout his five-year NBA career, Thomas played five seasons for the Brooklyn Nets. He appeared in 239 games, starting in 88 of those matchups.
As a member of the Nets, Thomas shot 43.5% from the field and knocked down 34.3% of his threes to average 15.2 points per game. He also came down with 2.5 rebounds per game, while dishing out 2.2 assists per game.
During his final run with the Nets, Thomas appeared in just 24 games. After the Nets failed to find a trade suitor for Thomas, they waived the veteran guard after the trade deadline back in February.
He joined the Bucks for the first time on February 8, signing with them via free agency.
Thomas appeared in 18 games. He came off the bench for each matchup, seeing the court for 16.6 minutes per game. The veteran shot 43.1% from the field, while averaging 10.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.
