Brisbane, Australia – A 23‑year‑old Australian woman's lunch break took an unexpected turn when her kitchen ceiling suddenly collapsed. The chaos was caused by an uninvited animal guest!
Tiahna, who lives in Brisbane, Australia, could hardly believe her eyes when she looked up at her kitchen ceiling. "That day I was working from home, clocked off for my break, then heard noises," she told Newsweek.
The sound grew louder, and the ceiling began to bulge, so she grabbed her phone and started recording.
Her now-viral video shows the ceiling cave in before the material completely gives way and collapses, creating a huge hole above Tiahna's fridge.
Not only did a bunch of debris fall into the kitchen, but so did a terrified possum!
The scared animal did its best to make a quick escape, but Tiahna had enough time to identify it, and she wasn't that surprised.
Tiahna says she and her housemates have "been dealing with possums for about two years now," as Newsweek reported.

Tiahna said she deals with "constant noise in the ceiling at all hours of the night."
"We've brought it up to the real estate agency, and nothing's really happened," she said, adding, "They sent someone out to remove the possums, but it didn't work."
Her past experience prompted her to point her camera at the ceiling when she heard the sounds yet again.
"I whipped out my phone when I heard the noises because I thought no one was going to believe me if they fell through. And they did," Tiahna explained.
The video of the possum crashing through the ceiling boasts over a million views and counting.
The hole has now been temporarily sealed, but hopefully the building owners will repair the damage and possum-proof her home soon.
