TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun recommended dishes and performed the song "Dreaming" during his guest appearance on a private Indonesian television station on Sunday evening, August 23, 2026.
Dressed in a white suit paired with black trousers, Kim Soo Hyun performed "Dreaming"—a song composed by Park Jin Young—as a guest on the program. The track is one of the songs from the soundtrack of the South Korean drama Dream High, in which Kim Soo Hyun starred.
"Hello, I am Kim Soo Hyun. It is a pleasure to be here," said Kim Soo Hyun.
During his guest appearance on the private television program, Kim Soo Hyun also took on the role of a South Korean food expert. In this capacity, he recommended broth-based dishes suitable for serving at wedding receptions.
"Yes, the cuisine is important. If you want something with broth, there is Galbitang, a dish featuring beef short ribs. Then there is Janchi-guksu, which consists of warm wheat noodles in an anchovy-based broth," he explained.
This appearance marked Kim Soo Hyun's return to the public eye and the entertainment industry after he had halted his activities amidst a controversy that arose around May 2025 regarding his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron, who was a minor at the time.
However, on July 29, 2026, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul closed the investigation into the allegations of a relationship with a minor involving Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron.
