At the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2026 currently taking place in Thailand, Nissan has brought its new Kicks compact SUV to display and introduce. In the Thai market, the 2026 Nissan Kicks is available in three versions with list prices ranging from 839,000 to 929,000 Baht (approximately 688-762 million VND).

The 2026 Nissan Kicks for the Thai market is not a completely new generation like the one sold in the US. Instead, it's a mid-cycle refresh and shares the same design as the Nissan Kait for the Brazilian market. The 2026 version of the Nissan Kicks features significant exterior design improvements.

The front end design is striking, featuring Nissan's signature V-Motion grille, presented in an impressive three-dimensional style. The new headlights have a slimmer design, increasing lighting efficiency, and are combined with arrow-shaped LED daytime running lights split into three segments, creating a modern look.

The high and wide hood enhances the car's imposing appearance, while the front bumper and fender flares are designed to be more aggressive. The rear of the vehicle uses simple and modern lines. In particular, Nissan's signature hexagonal taillights increase the car's distinctiveness as a B-segment SUV.

The 2026 Nissan Kicks features 17-inch alloy wheels with Bridgestone Ecopia tires, along with distinctive details such as a floating roof and shark fin antenna, giving the car a sportier and more individualistic style. Available colors include Electric Cyan, Gray Sky Pearl, Storm White, Radiant Red, Gun Metallic, and Black Star.

Similar to the exterior, the interior of the 2026 Nissan Kicks has also been redesigned, offering a more modern and user-friendly space. The new design extends from the dashboard and center console to the door panels and air vents, creating a clean and convenient look. A leather-wrapped steering wheel is available on all versions.

The highlight of this area is the 12.3-inch high-resolution Audio Display touchscreen, combined with a 7-inch TFT multi-color digital instrument panel, which displays information clearly and quickly.

The NissanConnect infotainment system supports wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and can also connect via USB or Bluetooth. Drivers can easily use apps, listen to music, and navigate throughout their journey, along with convenient wireless charging. The ergonomically designed zero-gravity seats help reduce fatigue for occupants during long journeys or in congested traffic.

The seats are upholstered in a heat-reflective composite material to maintain comfort in hot weather. The vehicle is equipped with a 6-way power adjustable driver's seat, and the rear seats have been upgraded with better reclining backrests, larger headrests, and a center armrest with two cup holders. The smart rearview mirror provides the driver with a clear view of the rear even when it is obscured. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 423 liters, meeting the needs of users for carrying luggage.

The next new feature on this B-segment SUV is the ProPILOT intelligent driver assistance system, combined with the Nissan 360 Safety Shield active safety package. This is the first time ProPILOT has appeared in Thailand, operating based on a combination of intelligent cruise control to maintain speed and distance from the vehicle in front, along with Stop/Go, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning and assistance when the vehicle tends to drift out of its lane.

Additionally, the system supports easy stopping and starting, reducing driver fatigue on highways and long journeys, provided the driver always keeps their hands on the steering wheel. Other safety technologies of the 2026 Nissan Kicks include a system that warns when a vehicle in front moves, a forward collision warning system that can detect up to two vehicles, intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, etc.

Under the hood of the 2026 Nissan Kicks in the Thai market remains the e-Power hybrid powertrain. This system combines an electric motor and an inverter in a single unit, paired with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder, DOHC 12-valve, multi-fuel compatible gasoline engine, including E20. The gasoline engine delivers a maximum power of 136 horsepower and a maximum torque of 280 Nm.

The vehicle uses a 2.06 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing smooth acceleration, quick responsiveness, quiet operation, and a driving feel similar to a pure electric vehicle, but without the need for external charging or changes to driving habits. The e-Pedal Step system allows the driver to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal.
