Four fishermen from Mui Ne survived thanks to a small boat when their ship sank in the open sea.

On the morning of October 23, Colonel Pham Xuan Do, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Lam Dong Border Guard Command, said that a fishing boat from Soc Trang (now part of Can Tho city) rescued four fishermen from Mui Ne who were adrift at sea in a small basket boat.

The location where the fishermen were found is near the Su Tu oil field, in the waters off Lam Dong province.
