An Nghiep Industrial Park ( Can Tho City) has a scale of 243 hectares. According to the Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks Management Board, this industrial park currently has 51 operating enterprises with 64 projects, a total registered capital of over 9,300 billion VND, providing jobs for more than 24,000 workers. [2] The occupancy rate of An Nghiep Industrial Park has reached 97% of the leased land area. [3]
This workforce comes from many provinces and cities, leading to a demand for accommodation around the industrial park. In An Ninh commune alone, where An Nghiep Industrial Park is located, there are currently 56 establishments renting out rooms on a monthly basis, with more than 785 workers registered for temporary residence, according to Can Tho City Police. [4]
