Sources from dealerships indicate that the version expected to be distributed in Vietnam will be equipped with a 2.7L naturally aspirated gasoline engine, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This is a familiar configuration that has appeared on many Toyota models currently distributed in Southeast Asia.
In terms of design, the Land Cruiser FJ is expected to feature the characteristic boxy style of an off-road SUV, with many details inspired by traditional Land Cruiser generations. Its dimensions are predicted to be more compact than the Prado, but still well-suited for family use and weekend getaways.
The interior space is said to continue pursuing a similar angular design style to the Land Cruiser Prado or the new generation Hilux.
The car is expected to feature a three-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital display mounted on the dashboard, and an information display behind the steering wheel. The air conditioning system will utilize a modern electronic control panel.
If the price of around 1.2 billion VND remains unchanged at launch, the Land Cruiser FJ will enter the body-on-frame SUV segment in Vietnam, competing with familiar rivals such as the Ford Everest. Toyota Fortuner Or the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
However, the new model is expected to benefit from the Land Cruiser's reputation and its strong focus on off-road capability.
