Bridging the gap between research and application.
In the past year, the University of Technology (Da Nang University) had over 300 scientific publications listed in the Scopus database or higher (Scopus: a database of abstracts and citations of large scientific articles built and managed by Elsevier Publishing House, Netherlands, since 2004). However, the number of inventions, utility models, and results registered for intellectual property protection is still not significant. The gap between academic publications and applicable products shows the urgent need to transform research results into practical value.
According to Associate Professor Huynh Phuong Nam, Vice Rector of the university, developing an innovation ecosystem requires a systematic roadmap, starting with building an environment and providing support, then gradually nurturing and refining ideas. This process demands perseverance and long-term commitment; immediate results cannot be expected.
