The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed, a supercar with a speedster design, has recently been put up for sale by a dealership in Germany for over $1.15 million (approximately over 30 billion VND).
In 2024, Mercedes-AMG launched the PureSpeed, the first supercar in its Mythos Series, a coachbuild project based on commercially available
sports cars. Two years later, a dealership in Germany put the speedster-styled car up for sale, making it the first PureSpeed to appear on the used car market.
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed convertible supercar, inspired by the Mercedes 2-Liter Rennwagen race car, was unveiled at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. The front body is painted Zircon Red, gradually transitioning to Graphite Grey along with AMG's signature graphics.
A highlight of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed's side profile is its 21-inch, five-spoke wheels, which feature carbon fiber winglets to improve brake cooling and enhance downforce.
The windshield and A-pillar have been removed, and the car has been fitted with the familiar HALO protection system from F1 racing cars, which has been in use since 2018. The roll-over protection frame is designed behind the headrests and features the black and white AMG badge.
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed uses an electrically controlled rear wing instead of the large wing of the AMG Aerodynamics package on the SL-Class. The interior of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is not significantly different from the standard SL-Class.
The cockpit features a contrasting two-tone color scheme of Crystal White and black. Standard equipment includes an AMG Performance steering wheel and AMG Performance sports seats with carbon fiber backrests, plus added shoulder and neck heating.
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is equipped with a 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine, producing a maximum power of 585 horsepower and a maximum torque of 800 Nm.
It comes with a 9-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission and the intelligent AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system.
It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 315 km/h. Owners of the PureSpeed receive a pair of Bell brand helmets, painted in a color matching the exterior.
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is limited to 250 units worldwide and is being offered at a price of 999,000 Euros, which is over $1.15 million USD (approximately 30 billion VND).
If customers purchase a Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed supercar for export to another country, they only need to pay up to 839,500 Euros (over 969,000 USD).
