Messi continues to make a huge contribution to Inter Miami's gameplay, leading the team and creating numerous opportunities for his teammates. However, the 39-year-old star has gone two consecutive games without scoring, after having scored or assisted in 14 games prior to that.
Messi played with great effort, but his Inter Miami teammates wasted his hard work by conceding easy goals.

Messi received the prestigious Princess of Asturias Sports award in Spain on October 23rd. Immediately afterwards, he quickly returned to the US to play the second half in Inter Miami's 0-2 loss to New York Red Bulls on October 25th. The home game against FC Cincinnati on October 29th in Round 32 of the MLS (Major League Soccer ) will be an opportunity for Messi to rediscover his scoring or assisting form.
After a rather unremarkable first half, Messi put in a strong performance in the second half. He created opportunities for De Paul and Casemiro, who then set up veteran striker Luis Suarez for a spectacular goal in the 61st minute, helping Inter Miami break the deadlock and take a 1-0 lead against FC Cincinnati.
Messi and his teammates maintained this lead until the 80th minute, seemingly securing the victory on a day when Inter Miami's president, David Beckham, was in attendance in the stands.
