On October 18th, Mr. Tran Trung Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of La Da commune (Lam Dong province), stated that the commune's military and police forces, in coordination with the road management unit, have basically cleared the Da Mi pass section, the area crossing the Da Chos stream on National Highway 55, after a flood swept soil and rocks onto the road surface.
Earlier, on October 17th, localized flooding carried large amounts of soil and rocks, burying a section of National Highway 55 dozens of meters long and cutting off traffic in the area.
