The need to capitalize on the influx of international buyers.

Looking back at the business landscape of the first nine months of 2026, Mr. Phung Quoc Man, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft and Wood Processing Association (HAWA), representing wood industry associations (VFOREST, HAWA, BIFA, FBA Gia Lai, DOWA), stated that wood and wood product exports reached US$13.3 billion, a 6.3% increase compared to the same period last year. This result reflects the resilience of the business community in maintaining its market position. With products exported to 167 countries and ranking second in the world for deeply processed wood, the Vietnamese wood industry has demonstrated superior craftsmanship and modern production scale. However, given rising logistics costs and trade protection barriers in various countries, proactively seeking international customers domestically has become the optimal strategy.
