As reported by Dan Tri newspaper, Hanoi has added 18 tree species to the list of those banned from planting in public spaces due to potential safety risks such as containing toxins, having brittle branches that easily break or fall, containing addictive substances, having sharp thorns, or being unsuitable for the urban landscape.
Notably, this list includes the star apple tree and the mulberry tree, both familiar species associated with the memories of many people living in Hanoi.
Many comments on social media share childhood memories associated with clusters of ripe red starfruit and the sweet and sour taste of the starfruit (Photo: Screenshot).
