Honda Vietnam recently officially announced the pricing for the 2026 Honda CR-V hybrid model assembled in Vietnam. Specifically, the CR-V e:HEV L version is priced at 1.17 billion VND and the CR-V e:HEV RS version at 1.25 billion VND. Additionally, customers purchasing the red color will have to pay an extra 8 million VND.

Thus, compared to previously imported models, the Vietnamese-assembled Honda CR-V e:HEV RS is priced 9 million VND lower but includes additional features. Meanwhile, the CR-V e:HEV L, making its debut, is priced 71 million VND higher than the previous gasoline-powered CR-V L.

In terms of appearance, the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS is very similar to the previous Thai-imported version, while the CR-V e:HEV L resembles the previously assembled CR-V L (petrol engine) version. The RS version is sportier with glossy black wheel arches and lower bumper trim, unlike the previous version which was painted the same color as the body. The L version uses matte plastic underneath and lacks rear fog lights. Both versions use 18-inch black painted wheels.

Inside, the highlight is the push-button gear shift system replacing the traditional gear lever, making the interior cleaner and more modern. Honda has added a head-up display (HUD) to the e:HEV RS model, and also adjusted the leather seat upholstery with red stitching and an embossed RS logo.

The remaining amenities are the same as the Thai-imported version, such as a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 12 Bose speakers, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear air vents, power-adjustable front seats with memory function, power tailgate with kick-to-open feature, and USB-C charging ports in both rows of seats...

By opting for the CR-V e:HEV RS, customers get an additional feature: a panoramic sunroof, a darkened roof, interior ambient lighting, a smart keyless entry system, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel instead of the 7-inch analog gauges and screen found on the e:HEV L.

Unfortunately, the front seats still lack ventilation. The hybrid variant of this Japanese SUV can only accommodate a maximum of 5 people instead of 7 like the gasoline-powered versions, due to space being allocated to the high-voltage battery system.

In terms of safety, all 2026 CR-V e:HEV models feature eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear sensors, and the Honda Sensing ADAS package (adaptive cruise control at low speeds, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, etc.). The vehicle continues to use the LaneWatch blind spot monitoring camera, while the Thai market version has switched to a blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert system.

Under the hood is a 2.0L naturally aspirated gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, producing 204 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an eCVT continuously variable transmission. Neither the Individual driving mode – which was already available on the Civic e:HEV – nor the all-wheel drive (AWD) option are present.

The assembly of the CR-V e:HEV in Vietnam demonstrates Honda's long-term commitment to developing the domestic automotive industry, while also shortening the time it takes to reach consumers. Notably, the model offers a comprehensive warranty policy with a standard 3-year or 100,000 km warranty, and an additional 2-year or 50,000 km extension for the engine, transmission, and hybrid battery.
