The conflict between Cristiano Ronaldo and the Saudi Arabian national league – the Saudi Pro League – is attracting the attention of the entire football world .

Among them is Toni Kroos, the former Real Madrid midfielder and former teammate of Ronaldo.

Kroos recently shared his views on the issue in his own podcast, Einfach mal Luppen, which he hosts with his younger brother Felix Kroos.

In candid statements, Kroos expressed his full support for CR7, while also acknowledging his role in the development of the league.

"The Saudi League is a strange phenomenon. Before Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, nobody had heard of it, and now they're showing disrespect to the very person who put them on the world football map."

That wasn't the only praise he had for his former teammate. In a recent interview with Brazilian football legend Romario, Kroos also had many kind words for CR7.

"The best player I've ever played with is Cristiano Ronaldo," Kroos emphasized.

"Cristiano has scored more goals than he has played for Real Madrid."

This is the latest development in a wave of support for the Portuguese superstar's views.

This movement originated from Al Nassr fans themselves, when they displayed a banner bearing the number 7 during the match against Al Ittihad.

In addition, his teammates showed their support for Ronaldo by celebrating Angelo's goal in the signature style of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
