A sudden change in a Korean military content series is drawing attention from fans online.
Actor Rowoon is reportedly set to become the new storyteller for the program “That Day in the Military Story,” a series produced by the Korea Defense Media Agency.
Acording to Hankook ilbo, the news comes shortly after episodes featuring Cha Eun Woo who previously appeared as the program’s storyteller were quietly set to private and are no longer available to watch.
For many fans, the timing has sparked curiosity about the sudden shift.
Cha Eun Woo’s episodes quietly removed
The series is distributed through KFN Plus, a channel run by the Ministry of National Defense.
In the program, celebrities who are currently serving in the military introduce historical moments, important figures, and stories related to Korea’s military history.
Cha Eun Woo joined the series last year and appeared in four episodes as a storyteller.
However, viewers recently noticed that the videos are now listed as “unavailable,” suggesting they have been set to private.
The removal comes amid recent tax-related allegations involving the singer-actor, which have drawn public attention.
Rowoon reportedly confirmed as the new storyteller
According to reports from Korean media, Rowoon has confirmed his participation in the program and is preparing to film upcoming episodes.
Rowoon is currently serving in the military after enlisting as an active-duty soldier in October 2025.
Once the new episodes are released, he is expected to take over the storytelling role previously held by Cha Eun Woo.
The series has previously featured several well-known celebrities in uniform, including actor Song Kang and NCT’s Taeyong, making it a program that often attracts attention from fans.
From idol star to rising actor
Rowoon first debuted in 2016 as a member of the K-pop group SF9, before gradually building a successful acting career.
He gained widespread popularity through dramas such as:
